Van Insurance - Win a brand new van in Britain’s Best Brekkie campaign - 17/02/2009

A manufacturer and The Sun newspaper have teamed up in a national campaign in a quest for Britain’s Best Brekkie, it has been revealed.

The Light commercial vehicle (LCV) manufacturer, Citroen will be launching the competition to honour the best cafe or dinner in the UK.

Van insurance customers stuck for cash during the crisis may be able to benefit from the campaign as the winner will receive the brand new Citroen Berlingo model which will be presented by The Sun girls and Citroen’s operations manager at the winning café.

Citroen's vehicle operations manager, Robert Handyside said: "There are thousands of hard-working van drivers who know what makes a great breakfast.

We know what it takes to make a good van and we are offering the chance to win a fantastic new Berlingo in our competition to find the café serving the Britain’s Best Brekkie in 2009. The winning café will get the prestigious Citroën Sun plaque and £1,000.”

The manufacturer will also be running its Road Show programme across major B&Q stores across the UK where drivers will be given the opportunity to examine the new LCVs along with being provided with a free brekkie on Citroen.

Handyside added: “When times are tough, you can rely on Citroën to be sunny side up, sizzling with new ideas to bring home the bacon. We believe that the Britain’s Best Brekkie competition, together with our Road Show programme and free breakfasts for all, will combine fun and financial benefit for the lucky winner of the new Berlingo.”

The competition will be launched on February 20th and will run until March 13th.
