A British van manufacturer has won five awards including the ‘Small Panel Van of the Year’ honour at a recent ceremony, van insurance customers may like to know.
Van insurance customers looking to change their vehicles for something more efficient may like to consider Ford Vans.
Ford’s former model received the title of the ‘Small Panel Van of the Year,’ and was also branded ‘Best Minibus’ for the third successive year at the What Van? award ceremony.
Both Fords Transit model and Transit Connect also won the title of ‘Best Security’ at the ceremony. The Transit model was awarded under the Panel Van category for the fifth consecutive year whilst the Transit Connect was honoured under the Light Van group for the seventh time.
The manufacturer’s One Stop Shop was also given a high commendation by What Van? for its variety of specialist applications.
The award was presented by Neil McIntee, editor of What Van? at a London ceremony.
Commercial Vehicles director, Steve Kimber of Ford of Britain said: "Security is paramount to all business operators and alongside economy, cost-of-ownership and durability, security is always high on our agenda."
According to Kimber, the manufacturer’s success evolves from its ongoing modifications and line-ups.
He said: "The strength of our brand is in its constant evolution."
Ford had also recently won four other awards at the 2008 Innovation Awards competition in the U.S.
The manufacturer was awarded the Environmental honour for being the first to include soy-based foams within the seats.
