Elderly home insurance policy holders have been advised to exert an increased level of caution when answering their front doors.

The police in Greater Manchester have issued the advice in the wake of thefts and burglars tricking their way onto property.

Any theft or accidental assist when losing valuables will possibly result in a rejected claim, so tips for insurance customers is to ensure steps are in place in order to avoid such mishaps.
