A new police campaign is being launched to target bikers in Humberside; North East England, who potentially risk more than a motorcycle insurance claim due to their speeding.
Police in the area have launched Operation Achilles, which takes place every year and has seen motorbike fatalities reduce by 43 per cent since 2004 when it was first introduced, the Beverley Guardian reports.
Officers utilize equipment, resources and tools in their dangerous driving crackdown - which could help motorbike insurance policyholders avoid having to make claims.
He said: “Humberside Police are still dealing with a large number of unnecessary deaths and serious road traffic collisions in the East Riding and I am pleased to announce Humberside Police has joined forces with Safer Roads Humber and the East Riding council to raise the profile of this operation and educate road users and motorcyclists."
A poster campaign is currently in operation in the area and the police helicopter is being used to crack down on dangerous motorists.
