Van Insurance - Van drivers to make sure vans are covered - 23/06/2008

Experts have advised van drivers to ensure that their vans are properly covered.

Head of van insurance at AA Insurance, Rhiannon Parker said “Whether they’re sparkles or plumbers, drivers face significant loss of earnings if their van’s out of service, so it’s essential to ensure they’re properly covered when the worst happens.”

Van drivers believe that their vehicles are of great importance in order for their businesses to run efficiently according to research by vaninsurance.co.uk.

A survey by AA Insurance found that over 50 per cent of the 200 UK commercial van insurance customers believe that without a van, their business would suffer.

Parker said that the need for van insurance is essential as vans are important for businesses.

She said: “Vans are a big part of our culture and contribute enormously to the UK economy.”

The market offers dozens of new insurance companies with a wide variety of choices for those who are looking for cheaper van insurance.

Experts suggest that it’s best to shop around as there are no two policies that will be exactly the same.

Website vaninsurance.com warns that it is not the greatest idea to go for the cheapest van insurance quotes as “you get what you pay for.”

The cheapest quotes may not always offer all the cover that is needed.
