Below we have outlined the most common questions asked about travel insurance. Please click on a question to get the relevant answer.
Do I need it Travel Insurance? If I am not a UK national can I purchase a policy? What is a European Health Insurance Card? What types of travel insurance are there? Are UK trips included? Are there any maximum age limits? What is a ‘pre-existing medical condition’? What happens if I or someone who is covered under my policy falls ill? What happens if my or someone else’s (who is covered under my policy) money is stolen? Am I covered for driving or being a passenger in a car? How do I make a claim?
There are two main types of travel insurance. If you are a regular traveller who is likely to travel more than once a year then you should consider Annual Multi-Trip cover. Under this policy you will be covered for any trips you make within a year. This is especially useful if you expect to be taking trips at short notice.
If, however, your trip is a one off experience then it is better to consider a Single Trip policy, which will cover you for the set duration of one trip.
