Those thinking about travelling abroad this year, have been warned not to forget to take insurance.
Endsleigh made it clear in a recent press release how much you stand to lose in the event of an emergency overseas. The insurer was reacting to news that up to 25% of Britons were planning to travel this year without taking out any form of travel insurance.
The bills for medical treatment in a foreign country can run in to the tens of thousands and without insurance, travelers will be dipping in to their own savings to pay for it.
Boyles added:
“If you travel abroad without insurance then in my opinion you must be crazy. It's vital. The costs can be enormous. Even if you are taking a shorter trip than you normally would, or you are staying in Europe rather than going worldwide, you absolutely should travel with travel insurance.”
