A new deal to provide travellers extra peace of mind when travelling has been forged between Bupa Travel Insurance and the Emirates Airline.
This agreement would see Bupa giving travel insurance cover for customers of Emirates Airline, who are expected to hit more than 20 million this year.
By managing their flight bookings on the Emirates website at emirates.com, the report said travellers across the globe would be able to take out Bupa cover.
In order to meet the needs of their customers, the policy was exclusively designed for Emirates.
Travellers will enjoy a benefit like unlimited cover in the event of a medical emergency or a member needing to be flown back to their home country for treatment.
There is also financial cover for an individual who is unable to work due to injury, credit card cover as well as kennel and cattery fees.
The cover is different from other offerings in the market because it can be taken out by people of almost all countries, except residents of the USA, Canada and Switzerland, for various trips. In addition it is open to senior travellers up to the age of 80.
Bupa UK Health Insurance commercial director, Steve Flanagan said that being an award-winning global airline, Emirates wanted a partner with an international presence and reputation around the world as well as a unique and first class product.
He said further that Bupa satisfied all of those requirements, adding that they looked forward to expanding their product range with Emirates.
Emirates executive vice president, service departments, Nigel Hopkins also commented that they were confident that had found the right fit in Bupa Travel Services.
