Alliance & Leicester announces new loan offers - 27/12/2007

New and existing customers will be able to secure same day funds for new unsecured loans offered by Alliance & Leicester, the firm announced today.
This offer, Alliance & Leicester said, compares favourably with other forms of credit such as store cards, which carry interest rates well into the double figures.
The new personal loans, released today, carry rates starting from 6.9 per cent.
Provided the customer is accepted before 12.30pm on the day of application, funds are to be made available before the end of the same day, under the new terms.
Richard Al-Dabbagh, Personal Loans Manager at Alliance & Leicester, says: "What better way to get your finances sorted out and off to a flying start for the New Year?
"The fact that the loan takes less time to be paid into your current account means that you can get it working for you even faster."
Alliance & Leicester's announcement follows last week's statement from fellow loan provider Sainsbury's - which announced a 0.4 per cent cut in its loan rates.
