Life Insurance - Axa sees increased interest in large-scale life insurance - 01/07/2008

Insurance firm Axa has revealed that customer interest in its life insurance products have increased since the beginning of the year when it reviewed its pricing policy and expanded its specialist large case team.

The team deals exclusively with policies that cost over £5,000 a year along with life insurance worth more than £1 million, income protection that exceeds £50,000 and critical illness insurance of £500, 000 plus. The team, which boasts more than 40 years of combined experience in the industry, provides a case manager for each individual application.

“As people take out bigger mortgages and with the growth of business protection, we are increasingly seeing applications for ever bigger sums assured. It is not unusual now to receive applications for life cover more than £10 million,” said Mike Taylor of Axa.

“Larger cases are often more complex, requiring detailed medical and financial assessments, which is why it is smart to have one person dealing with the application from start to finish. This makes the process more straightforward for the customer.”
