Life insurance firm Axa has revised its rates for several products.
The life insurance provider says that around 41 per cent will see decreases in their premiums - although others might actually be charged more thanks to the changes.
Overall, those life insurance policies which are to cost less will do so at a reduction averaging out at three per cent.
Iain Mallon, director of protection marketing at Axa, commented: These new rates for the Axa Protection Account[s] will be among the most competitive in the market.
"We are committed to not only offering quality products and efficient processes, but also ensuring these are priced so that protection is affordable for consumers.
The biggest decreases for Axa customers will be seen among term life insurance products for non-smokers over 40 and decreasing products for male twenty-something non-smokers.
Both of these groups will enjoy 12 per cent reductions on their annual premiums.
