The city of Lake Dillon. USA, may see a potential rise in home insurance premiums as its fire department is put under scrutiny. The Insurance Service Office has vowed to carry out a thorough inspection of the towns emergency service operations. The last inspection was carried out in 1999 and the town unfortunately received a low grade. However, Lake Dillon feels that they have upped their game and made several improvements to their rapid response teams.
The inspection will ultimately check the services efficiency. The ability to deal with 911 emergency calls will be closely monitored. Vital equipment such as water hydrants will be tested and training records will be examined to make sure that the team are up to scratch.
The inspections will run through October but the results will not have any direct effect on individual insurance policies for some weeks after that. Residents are hoping that a higher scoring will have a positive effect on their home insurance premiums.
