A comprehensive home insurance policy that provides a wide-range of protection has been introduced by Direct Line.

Dubbed Home Insurance Plus, the policy combines home buildings and contents, personal possessions, travel insurance, ID fraud assistance, home emergency and legal protection in one policy.

A statement from Direct Line described the policy as one that conveniently brings a number of deals under one comprehensive umbrella while minimising cost and maximising efficiency.

Home insurance plus, it added, helps policyholders coordinate the different types of policies they have in a more convenient way and makes each claim easily made whenever the need arises.

People could be covered for various kinds of claims at all times, it said.

Head of Home Insurance at Direct Line, Andrew Lowe reminded that while disaster could be a very tough experience, it was always helpful to have the kind of policy that would help victims overcome the difficulty without much ado.

This, he said, is what Home Insurance Plus aims to achieve.
