Direct Line: Save a third with us - 11/01/2008

Home insurance provider Direct Line claims that new customers can save up to one-third off their premiums by switching to the firm.
With finances stretched in the New Year following the annual festive season blow-out, head of home insurance at the firm Andrew Lowe said that he hoped to attract new customers looking to save money.
"After the big Christmas spend, many homeowners are looking for ways of saving money," he commented.
"By taking advantage of offers such as ours, homeowners can save a whopping third off home insurance and still have peace of mind that they are fully covered should they need to make a claim."
According to figures released last year by payments association Apacs, Britons were set to spend £53 billion over the Christmas period - four per cent up on 2006.
This could, in turn, produce a significant financial hangover - with accountants Grant Thornton saying this month that insolvency numbers in the UK are set to rise in the months to come.
Direct Line home insurance offers up to £1,000 in garden cover as a part of its home insurance offer.
It also offers £1 million in building cover as standard.
