As the UK drifts further into economic slowdown and many people are rendered unemployed it has been observed that there is a massive rise in the number of people getting into debt.
Reports said an increasing number people in the construction and road haulage trades have had their jobs taken as a result of jobs cut.
With fewer jobs in the industry many of those affected are calling IVA.com and seeking professional advice with their debts.
Rising prices of fuel is also contributing to the problem, according to reports, as hauliers are cutting costs to enable them cope with the problem. This results in more HGV drivers being rendered jobless.
While jobs were plentiful in the building and construction business when there was easy access to cheap borrowing, the reverse is now the case and many people are paying the price, lamented IVA.com’s director, Terry Balfour.
“There’s been a lot of talk about credit crunch over the past year but I would say it’s only now that the effects are really hitting their target and ordinary workers and business-owners are taking the blows,” he added.
