The Financial Fringe, a group of eight financial service trade associations has launched a comprehensive personal finance information pack.
‘A Guide to Personal Finance’ is designed to equip MPs and other representatives with useful information to offer constituents looking for guidance on financial issues. It was produced following consultation with MPs concerning the questions their constituents most often ask. It contains easy to understand fact sheets covering 25 subjects ranging from investments to, credit products and debt. It also includes a comprehensive list of organisations that may be able to help individuals with financial issues.
The pack is being distributed to all UK MPs, regional assembly members and MEPs. It is also available directly to the public through the websites of all of the trade associations. The eight members are: the Association of British Insurers (ABI)); Association of Independent Financial Advisers (AIFA); APACS, the UK payments association); British Bankers' Association (BBA)); Building Societies Association (BSA)); Finance and Leasing Association (FLA)); Investment Management Association (IMA)); and the Tax Incentivised Savings Association (TISA).
