Barclaycard has unveiled a new logo which reveals its dream to become a global payment agency.
The credit card firm, which has already spent about £600,000 changing its widely known design to grey and blue fragmented globe image, is expected to spend another £1 million to spread the new logo across the globe in the next two years.
This, according to reports, is in line with its drive to be global payment agency. And a statement from the company said the new image would keep with the drive.
The global image depicted “a world that is calm and confident on the outside, whilst warm and vibrant on the inside,” reports quoted a spokesman saying.
In order for the brand to translate more easily in online and international markets, the logo was separated from the Barclaycard name.
Although the firm admitted that their current logo and look promoted their image as a credit card company in the UK, they said they wanted something more modern and distinctive that suggests where they are heading to.
