A number of drivers in west Berkshire may find it harder to secure cheap car insurance in the future, after they were caught speeding by the police.
Officers from the Thames Valley force pulled over more than 20 motorists who were travelling too quickly on Tidmarsh Road in Pangbourne and Halls Road in Telehurst. Police targeted this area due to concerns raised by the local communities.
The majority of drivers caught breaking the speed limit received £60 fines and three points on their licences. However, some were offered the options of roadside education or a speed awareness course.
PC Weal from Thames Valley police commented: “We will continue enforcement and education operations across the area until people understand that speeding is unacceptable on our roads.”
