Things are likely to get a little hairy over the next few months as the deer season begins and various other hunting seasons open up around America. One concerned party is Jodi Van Gorder who is an office manager at Tom’s Auto Body which is located in Delafield and her particular concern is being overwhelmed by the amount of extra business that will swing their way. The extra business will be heading in her direction for a number of reasons.
On the one hand, the deer mating season has come into view and so the deer will be unsettled and on the other hand the gun deer hunting season has also just started which will add to their unsettled nature over the next little while. Similarly the deer mating season encourages the deer to move around and in doing so many wander into roads. Steve Witmer of the insurance provider American Family Insurance, stated that the deer are “going to tear around the woods and wander onto roads”, the reality for them is it means a steep increase in claims, spelling out a dip for car insurance companies and their profit margins.
