The cost of car insurance continues to rocket and for many it now costs an average of £100 more than it did this time last year. Already, there are warnings that it could get worse with industry experts forecasting that by this time next year it will cost another £100 more.
But according to Northern Echo, this may result in more consumers opting to shop around for better deals.
Reports also show that more than a quarter of consumers log onto comparison websites to compare car insurance before renewing their car insurance.
Consumers are advised to cut the cost of insurance by increasing the amount paid towards the cost of repairs after an accident.
