They have a great national stadium and play some decent rugby on their day but just watch out for them when they are behind the wheel.
A car insurance website has highlighted how more than half of Welsh motorists admit there is a high chance they would fail their driving test if forced to take a re-sit with 56% of Welsh drivers confessing to their competence.
The numbers of Welsh drivers who said that would struggle to pass their test again were similar to numbers across the UK with 52% believing they would fail their driving test if they had to take it again.
Half of Welsh drivers have also been involved in an accident since first passing their test but only one third accept they were to blame.
Around 50% of Welsh drivers have had to claim on their insurance with 22% of those doing so more than once.
Gender wise women have the least confidence in themselves, with 59% thinking they would struggle to pass compared to just 46% of men, claims the website.
Steve Baker, Wales regional manager of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), said poor driving standards reflect a wider decline in common courtesy.
He said, “Driving is just reflecting the way society is going. There’s a selfish attitude that society often exhibits that is being demonstrated in our driving.”
