Some of the most off-the-wall insurance claims of 2007 have been revealed by the AA's insurance arm.
Among the firm's 180,000 car insurance claims were some wacky cases which seem almost too odd - or too embarrassing - to be true.
Accordingly, all customer names have been disguised by the firm - such as in the case of the mysterious Mrs R, who contacted the firm after crashing her vehicle through a countryside hedge.
However, the large dent in the bonnet that she claimed for was not caused by any farming fencework - but by the irate bull she collided with.
Mr A, on the other hand, had his bodywork pranged in a collision with a fork-lift truck.
It wasn't the other vehicle that caused the damage, though - it was the apples which the fork-lift was transporting at the time.
Mr K suffered a similar cargo calamity - only this time he drove into falling shopping trollies from a passing lorry.
Commenting on the crazy claims, head of AA car insurance Janet Pell said: "We're used to seeing the countless conventional claims for car damage but it's always interesting to hear the more bizarre claims people make.
"It just goes to show, you need to ensure you're covered for all eventualities, however far-fetched they might seem."
