Speaking on a US TV show, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has re-iterated the age-old claim that female drivers are worse than male drivers.
He added that they were more prone to accidents and too slow.
Mr Ramsay, known for his no-holds-barred attitude toward people, told chat show host Jay Leno: "They're always looking in the mirror. Look at the road! That way there will be less accidents."
Despite the chef's controversial, yet stereotypical argument, that female drivers were less skilled than male drivers, car insurance statistics show that women are less likely to cause accidents on the road and are generally offered cheaper car insurance.
During the interview, Mr Ramsay also took the opportunity to complain about French women, deriding them for what he sees as their poor personal hygiene.
"I had a French girlfriend. It was like going to bed with a rottweiler on your chest," he commented.
"Their breath smells as well."
In 2005 Mr Ramsay gave similar reviews to female cooks by saying "women can't cook to save their lives" and are more likely to be able to mix a cocktail than cook a meal.
