Police have issued a 13-year-old biker an anti-social behaviour warning and confiscated his bike after he was spotted riding on a public road without bike insurance.
The boy from Mitcheldean was seen last week riding his quad bike by a member of the public at Jubilee Road, Micheldean who quickly contacted the police.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after and seized the bike, while the youth was given the anti-social behaviour warning, which will last six months.
He was further issued a Section 59 warning under the Police Reform Act that allows the police to confiscate the bike in the event of any further nuisance.
In another development, a 15-year-old boy who rode his off-road bike on the road has been hurt when he collided with a van.
The youth from Slaithwaite was riding the bike on Laund Road near Pool Moor on Monday when the accident happened.
Police said he had neither driving licence nor insurance cover and should not have been on the road.
