The number of motorists on the roads who drive a motorbike has increased in recent years but motorbike insurance providers have not kept pace with the demands of the market. As with cars and other vehicles, insurance for driving a bike on the roads is mandatory, but the choice of providers has always been far more limited.
Tesco supermarket has decided to take advantage of this gap in the market and provide an insurance comparison site for motorbikes. The site will work like other comparison sites, allowing customers to fill in just one form in order to search the market for the best quote. Unlike other motorbike insurance sites, Tesco aims to provide more detail and choice to the motorists by seeking quotes from a large number of specialist and generalist insurance providers. A number of different insurance options will then be provided, bringing the search process for motorbike insurance in line with that for cars.
